Standard APIs only

Shopify Odoo connector with no Odoo module install

Many Odoo Shopify connectors require you to install a custom module on the Odoo side — which means a manifest, an upgrade path, and an Odoo Online incompatibility. SyncO uses only Odoo's standard JSON-RPC API, so there's nothing to install on Odoo. Setup happens entirely in your Shopify admin and the connector's web UI.

Why no Odoo-side install matters

Custom Odoo modules add a maintenance tax. They have their own upgrade path, they break on Odoo version bumps, they can conflict with other modules, and they're flatly incompatible with Odoo Online (which doesn't allow custom modules at all). SyncO sidesteps every one of those problems by using only the standard JSON-RPC API.

Setup is browser-based and takes an afternoon

All configuration happens in SyncO's web UI: enter Odoo credentials, pick the company, map Shopify locations to Odoo warehouses, set order rules. The wizard verifies the connection and detects the Odoo version automatically.

Same standard API, every Odoo flavor

Because SyncO uses only the standard Odoo JSON-RPC API, the same connector works wherever your Odoo runs. Hosting choice, version, and edition don't change the integration story.

FAQ

Questions merchants ask before connecting Shopify and Odoo

Do I need to install anything inside Odoo?

No. SyncO does not require a custom Odoo module, server addon, or any Odoo-side install. All sync happens through the standard JSON-RPC API.

Why does this matter?

Custom Odoo modules add maintenance burden — they have their own upgrade path, they can break on Odoo version bumps, and they're not allowed on Odoo Online at all. Using only standard APIs eliminates that entire class of problems.

Where does the configuration happen, then?

Entirely in SyncO's web UI. Enter your Odoo credentials, pick the company, map locations to warehouses, and set order rules. The wizard verifies the connection and detects your Odoo version automatically.
